Len Brooks III
Chairman & CEO
Len is the CEO and Chairman of the Global Infrastructure Investment Group. Mr. Brooks has 25 years of Investment Banking experience, including having run the private equity placement groups at Goldman Sachs, UBS and PaineWebber and the southeast real estate group at Salomon Brothers. He has served for the past seven years as the Chairman of the Board of SubAir Systems, the leading firm in the business of air movement, moisture removal and temperature control products for golf courses and sports stadiums. The Company, which was founded in the golf course business has, under his leadership, expanded into the sports field business and has tripled its revenues. Mr. Brooks currently serves on the Board of companies in the marketing and social media space and has served on the Board of companies in the real estate, agriculture and investment fund space. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mason School of Business at The College of William & Mary.

Mr. Lauterbach offers more than 40 years of entrepreneurial leadership experience in the finance and implementation of infrastructure development internationally across Asia and Asia Minor, Central and South America, Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Mr. Lauterbach is a German born naturalized American citizen and a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran, wounded during the 1968 Vietnam Tet Offensive.

J. Michael Graham is a Board Member. Mr. Graham brings 40 years of strategic acquisitions, multi-manufacturing operations and turnaround management experience in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to serving as CEO & President of Hellenic, He worked nearly three decades in the printing and graphic arts industry, holding senior level executive positions at companies such as Webcraft, Dittler Brothers, World Color Press (now Quad Graphics), Cenveo and NCP Solutions. Under his leadership at Dittler Brothers, he increased profitability and sold the company to World Color Press as part of KKR’s portfolio of graphic companies. After Quebecor’s aquisition of World Color Press, he assummed an executive role at Quebecor/World and led the company to become the largest global graphic communications company, reporting sales of over $9 billion.

Simon Stauss is Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Strauss has more than 30 years of experience building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity. After leading the telecommunications investment banking team at Jefferies, where he also started a group focused on renewable energy, Mr. Strauss started E/W Capital with primary concentration on infrastructure project financing, particularly renewable energy, and technology corporate finance. Mr. Strauss is a Board member and advisor to a number of companies, a Chartered Accountant and CPA.

The Honorable R. Clarke Cooper has over two decades of diplomatic, military, and resource management experience. Mr. Cooper is the senior director of Guard Hill House LLC and a nonresident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council. He recently served as U.S. Assistant Secretary State for political-military affairs, where he implemented reforms improving government support for American defense and aerospace industries, enabled strategic security partnerships, and advanced performance measures across UN peacekeeping missions. Early in his career, he served as an Assistant Director of the National Park Service and worked on the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. A combat veteran, Mr. Cooper maintains a field grade commission with the U.S. Army Reserve.

Ken Griffin is Chief Engineering Officer. Mr. Griffin brings 20 years of international sales and marketing experience working with large start-ups, wide-ranging business models and emerging regulatory environments. He has a combination of domestic and international degrees, including a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Finance from Cornell University, and a Master’s Degree in International Management from the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven, Belgium.

Prof. Dr. Sam Salem is a Certified Professional Construction Manager, licensed Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional. He has more than thirty five years of professional and academic experience in infrastructure sustainable development and resilience, green buildings, construction project management and infrastructure asset management. He’s a distinguished engineering Professor and chaired several engineering programs for more than 25 years at George Mason University, Syracuse University, University of Cincinnati and North Dakota State University. He’s a partnering founder with S&S Construction; a licensed infrastructure contractor in the DMV area. Prof. Salem has authored and co-authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications.

Katherine Gardner is an experienced Senior Executive specializing in global Environmental, Health, Safety and Engineering leadership roles with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas, refining, chemical, international onshore and offshore drilling, and supporting industrial services businesses. Katherine recently served as the Senior VP of HSE & Engineering for a highly technical engineered services start-up acquisition. Katherine has extensive experience in the operations and maintenance of refineries, upstream (onshore and offshore) operations to include the development of U.S. and International Environmental Health and Safety regulatory and compliance systems, crisis management and settlement negotiations with U.S. Department of Justice, the Environmental Protection Agency and numerous state agencies.
